Susan's Berry Good Lemon-Raspberry Gummies

  • The HealthShrink 140 West 71st Street #1C New York, NY, 10023 United States (map)

I'm a big fan of grass-fed gelatin! I find it extremely soothing for the gut. It's also great for repair and maintenance of nails, hair, skin, ligaments, and more. Usually I use the hydrolysated version of Great Lakes Gelatin, (comes in a green canister). This is great for shakes, and to add into just about anything you're cooking having a sauce given the gelatin is flavorless, (tomato sauce, stews, meatloaf, etc.).

The regular Great Lakes Gelatin in the orange canister however is what we need for today's recipe'. The difference between the 2 gelatins is that 1 congeals, (orange canister), and 1 does not, (green canister).

It's late summer, the days are getting shorter but there's still plenty of warmth outside. These gummies are real tasty, and ideal for cool snacking while gaining extra, essentialamino acids. Check it out!

Ingredients
• 3/4   Cup of fresh squeezed organic lemon juice
• 1       Cup of frozen, organic raspberries
• 2-3   Tablespoons of raw honey
• 1/4   Cup of Great Lakes Gelatin, (orange canister). You can purchase on Amazon.com.

Instructions
1) Place the lemon juice and frozen raspberries into a blender. Blend on high until the 2 are completely mixed. Pour mixture into a sauce pan.
2) Add the honey and gelatin to the pan and whisk everything together. The mixture will be a bit thick. Turn the stove top heat on low and continue whisking for 5-10 minutes. When the mixture becomes thin and everything is incorporated, remove from the heat.
3) Pour the heated contents from the pan into a small baking dish, ice cube tray, or little, fun-shaped silicon molds, (molds can be found also be found on Amazon.com). Refrigerate for 1+ hours to set.
4) If using a small baking dish, once set, cut the contents into bite-sized pieces.

Enjoy this refreshing, tasty, fun, and healthy snack! Be creative and try this also with your favorite flavors! Perhaps oranges and strawberries rock your world?!
